Even before my first discard, NAGA decided that we should chi the 8p, to speed up going for the open chanta (and potentially 789 sanshoku) route.
At this point, the honba payment will add a total of 600 points to any hand, I currently have 4 blocks for the mentioned hand, pretty bad weight, so this situation is just do it or nothing happen. My gut feeling is still: chi here is too aggressive. I'm actually quite not sure about this one, since chi doesn't make the hand any better nad capped the value at 2000. (or + yakuhai so 3900), which does not really make sense to me. (Even though the NAGA might not recognize that the game is using akanashi rule so, but I'm not sure that's would change much of the decision making here. Probably I would ask for more opinions about this situation and discuss later.
The rest of game just went smoothly into folding, and both NAGA agree with it.
I would like to hear your thoughts about the hand above, what would you do?
