Let's change the mode of this kind of post, previously I have been providing the answer of NAGA right away, but this time let's start with screenshot with the NAGA decision hidden. Thanks for reading my blogs, and I hope you have fun here!

Game Review
East 2 Repeat 0: West, Dora 1s
1.

Toimen, the dealer, declares riichi on 8m.We draw a souzu tile. If we discard 4p or 5p here, we’ll be 1-shanten for a full flush. What would you choose?
Let’s examine the situation more closely. Do we have any safe tiles?
5s → Genbutsu (already discarded, impossible to deal in to that player)
8s → Suji of 5s
6s → Half-suji of 9s
Now, looking at our hand, there are two possible paths:
1. Full Flush Route
We have an ankou of dora 1s, plus 33455 and 6778 shapes. If we cut 4p or 5p, the following draws can bring us to tenpai:
2s → Wait on 6s/9s
3s → Wait on 6s/9s
4s → Wait on 7s
6s → Wait on 2s/3s
7s → Wait on 4s
9s → Wait on 2s/3s
If we reach tenpai and choose not to riichi, this could still be around 10 han (chinitsu + dora 3 + pinfu or iipeikou).
2. Mawashi Route
We discard 5s this round to avoid ippatsu. This path likely tops out at riichi + dora 3.
The key decision: Do we aim for the massive hand that could give us a huge early lead and make the rest of the game much easier, or take the safer route to avoid immediate danger?

That's quite interesting, and I acknowledge that the fact of the 6p tedashi before riichi is definitely not a good sign for the safeness of 45p. I chose to push here because I would like to win a big hand to have a deterministic lead. I'm curious about what you think about this decision making here?

I think I would do the same, but maybe because I like to take risk, and I like big points.
